Left side seems a bit faster than right. It's also a bit harder. Probably not useful, but I wonder how fast it can be.
If you want to try it yourself, make sure you hop onto the slope as soon as possible before turning around (I do this at ~9.50 race time) otherwise the lap skip does not work
