Yuri Santangelo was born in 2000 in Florence, Italy. A graduate of the Fiesole School of Music and the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana, he studied with Alfonso Borghese and Lorenzo Micheli.

He has distinguished himself in more than 10 international guitar competitions including: “Fernando Sor”, “Città di Padova”, “Omaggio a Niccolò Paganini” and the “Tokyo International Guitar Competition”. In October 2025, the 30th International Guitar Conference in Milan awarded him the “Golden Guitar for Promising Young Artists”.

He has also earned awards in chamber music ensembles, both with guitarist Davide Prina and soprano Dafne Colombo, winning the “Altamira Gorizia Guitar Competition”, the “Omaggio a Nicolò Paganini” and the “International Florence Guitar Competition”.

He performs extensively, appearing at venues such as “LAC’s Hall” in Lugano, “TU Dublin Recital Hall” and “MUK” of Vienna. He has composed music for the documentary “Endless Peaks”, directed by Francesco Tomè and Crimp Films. Yuri is currently teaching in Lugano, Switzerland. He plays a guitar made by the Geneva-based luthier Jacques Vincenti, inspired by Enrique García.

Classical guitars are our passion! We are specialized in the highest quality concert guitars as well as historic guitars from around the world. Our passion for these unique instruments and the joy to give guitarists, passionate players, and collectors the possibility to purchase their own appropriate instrument is the motivation that drives us. Another focus is to work closely with established and young, largely unknown luthiers. Together we want to develop new ideas and share experiences with our customers. We also recorded pieces for many great composers such as Johann Sebastian Bach, Astor Piazzolla and Isaac Albeniz (Asturias).
