Hi, sorry. I didn't mean to leave again for so long; my mental state took a huge decline last year. I'm certainly better right now, but I've still got a ways to go to fix some deep rooted problems with myself.
To be honest, I began to question if my desire to create was only to receive praise, and not because I actually like doing it- only sticking with it because I don't know what other path to take instead. My obsession for attention has caused me a lot of stress over the years, and it reached a breaking point last year where I stopped to think if this was all worth it. I've realized that even if I did get that attention, I still wouldn't be happy since it wouldn't fix my problems- in fact, it would be detrimental to be in any sort of spotlight given how obviously unstable I am.
Right now I'm undergoing therapy and just ignoring all the things that upset me in the meantime. Not a good tactic, as reality will come knocking eventually. I don't know what the future holds in store for me.
Anyway, about this POOP:
I wanted something small in scope to more easily get adjusted to KdenLive, and because my patience has been pretty low lately. Limiting myself to this short clip also grounded my imagination quite a bit so that I didn't think of anything too crazy that I couldn't possibly do, so not a whole lot of time was wasted- I pretty much got everything I wanted done.
On the note of KdenLive, it's pretty powerful, but there's still some jank to it- on Linux at least. Most notably audio effects- specifically pitch shifting. The audio can end up delayed or cut off, and while it will sometimes fix itself in the editor after replaying it, it will always break in the render.
I can't remember why I chose this clip in particular, it's been in my head long before I started on this project. All I know is that I've been wanting to do Family Guy for a while.
