With the task of releasing the four switches complete, Adol returns to the Partisan base for an update. Chase informs him that during their raid on the castle, they were pushed back by guards, Stein risking his own safety to let everyone else get away. They implore Adol to go to head to the castle's west prison to rescue him, and he leaves for the underground passage without hesitation.
The Ibur Gang too got themselves captured after their rescue at the South Tower, and along with Niena are held in one of the castle's prisons. Niena briefly plays Stein's song on her ocarina before falling unconscious. When she awakes, she regains her memories of her original mission: originally from Kefin, she was raised and eventually asked by Professor Orwell to go to the physical world and check seal on Kefin when it began to fluctuate, but lost her memory during the shift between dimensions. Despite this revelation, the Iburs ensure Niena that Adol will come for them and everything will be alright in the end.
Adol eventually reaches the West Prison and frees Stein, while at the same time Commander Karion readies the Kefin soldiers for the large upcoming Judgment, the final Judgment of Fate to restore Kefin to the physical world.
