One may think our troubles are just beginning as we enter the Flooded Prison, but just getting the ability to dash ends far more troubles in the long run as the increased movement speed alone is one of the biggest breaths of fresh air in the game (especially how early it unlocks compared to Oath in Felghana).
But our other troubles aren't over as we can't really breathe underwater, so we have to find a way to deal with that.
And, upon another encounter with Epona- Oh, Thank God we don't have to right TWO of those things!

Things are already heating up in the Guilty Fire as Miuscha channels her inner Lilka and messes up a teleportation spell to end up in the middle of an enemy-infested room. Fortunately she gets her wish to be saved by Hugo in this route but it really does no good (especially as Im pretty sure she ends up with Rico in the long run).
But thats a drop in the bucket of important events as the first really big one is coming up.

Lots of back and forth as we gather the info we need on how to undo the Knights petrification curse and the only thing thats really different is not needing to first get the Dreaming Idol from Dino.
We do, however, still have to actually get the Mantid Medallion, but at least we can take out our frustrations on Pictimos and-

Our first SMZ3 chaos race in a good while courtesy of Yosh calling for one at the start of the year, so we can put the blame entirely on him.
Except for the fact that I managed to roll crap seeds for all five of us.
Surely, we are cursed.

This section is ultimately shorter than the first, but it still does have that maze of mirrors to get through and Ill no doubt again forget the optimal route before doing the third run of the game in the future.
Either way, remember there are three treasure chest and the nicest part is the Cleria Ore to fully power up our weapon is the one thats on the way.
Lets give Zava some humble pie!

Noin might be a bit of a tomboy, but she definitely knows how to work her charms on an idiot guard who fails to realize that he was essentially bribed with nothing.
Unfortunately, our infiltration into the city means nothing since we cant really help Max with a direct assault due to- you guessed it- a locked door!
Fortunately, a convenient exposition scene from the park has provided a clue on how to infiltrate the Lighthouse. But first, a fetch quest!

It still really bugs me that the item that lets us stay underwater for longer still has to be highlighted in the Inventory screen to be equipped and that nearly causes some trouble.
Anyway, the second artifact gives us Hugos best ability and sets things up to literally blow the boss of the area to bits.
After a bit of cleanup, grinding, and feeding the second Roo, of course.

Even though we dont get the information directly from Reah on this route, were still told to climb towards Rados Annex and find out whats going on there.
Turns out to be another encounter with Zava and a rematch against the first boss from Book I again.
Also turns out that its still pretty pathetic thanks to Hugos ranged attacks.
Now, as for the Devils Gaze... that wasnt smart.
