On the night of 26-27 february 2016, ISIS attacked the region of Gire Spi/Tell Abyad from various sides.
A large group of ISIS members entered the region from Turkey. Within a few days the Rojava Forces, with US airstrike support, were able to neutralize the threat.
The official YPG spokesperson Redur Xelil gave a press conference on 2nd of March 2016, giving details about the recent ISIS attacks.
