Squatting is the best position for pooping because it straightens the rectum and allows the muscles to relax. That’s how the body is designed to work.

Now let’s talk babies. 👶They can’t get into a squat on their own for several months. Without help, they’re often left to poop in less-than-ideal positions - usually flat on their backs

🙀have you ever tried to poop on your back? Lol

It’s no wonder so many babies struggle with gas or discomfort!

One of the easiest ways to help? 👉Hold your baby in a squat. And take the diaper off first- it’s much less messy to hold a bare baby over the toilet than to deal with a diaper blowout.

✨Bonus tip: The more often you use this position, the more your baby will start to prefer it. Keep doing this and you’re naturally practicing Elimination Communication, also known as baby potty training.

There are lots of benefits to EC beyond easing gas!!!
