“If you go through medical research and psychiatry research, it's all over. But you know, many things in research don't cross over into the real world,” Dr. Judith admits.
Dr. Judith Joseph is a psychiatrist and the author of High Functioning: Overcome Your Hidden Depression and Reclaim Your Joy. She believes that naming your feelings is the first step to combating high functioning depression, and she’s sharing what it takes to treat your symptoms.
”When you can identify the feeling…Then there's less uncertainty and less anxiety. So identifying a naming a feeling in itself is therapeutic. That's why it's important to have a name.”
