I've played this lovely Carole King song for so many years as a private prayer to myself .. its been on my list of songs to do from the very beginning.. today felt like a good day to record it and of course it had to be close to the James Taylor version.. its a song that cant be imitated and also a song that is hard to transform, its so iconic, so i had the idea of singing it to myself...
This is my first 'double track' song.. I played and recorded a version then copied that to my desktop and then re-played the original version, sang along and made a second recording.. frustrating but fun...!! If you've not tried it before go on.. try it..
