YouTube has finally added custom thumbnails to Shorts! You can now upload your own image as a thumbnail for a YouTube Short on PC, which is something Creators have been asking for for years. So what is this new YouTube Shorts thumbnail feature, and how does it work?

YouTube has finally given us the ability to add custom thumbnails to Shorts, and this is super epic! For years, YouTube Shorts had no way to set a custom thumbnail image, which meant you were stuck with whatever frame YouTube decided to pull from your video, or use their limited thumbnail creation tool on mobile. But now, on PC you can actually upload your own image as a Shorts thumbnail, just like you can with regular YouTube videos. This is something the community has been requesting for a really long time, so it is crazy that it is finally here.
