YouTube ads have changed quite a bit recently. We’re seeing 90-second ads, as well as unexpected split ads appearing out of nowhere.
In a way, these changes might actually be beneficial for creators. But why do they also make us miss the old YouTube?
Maybe it’s worth taking a moment to really think about that.
I feel a little disappointed with the direction YouTube seems to be heading in right now. Not only has the competition become even more intense because only a small number of videos are being shown on the main page, but now even professional broadcasters and celebrities are jumping onto YouTube.
With things already becoming more difficult for creators, it also feels like the ads are changing as well. I really hope YouTube can go back to the way it used to be.
