ACF's Commitment to Partnering with People with Lived Experience: ACF fostered resilience and community well-being through a new pilot engaging young refugees from Afghanistan, Ukraine, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Myanmar, and Ghana. In 2023, the ACF Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) launched the Youth Leadership Council for Refugees and Newcomers, to learn from these leaders with lived experience about how to best meet the needs of refugees. The pilot culminated in a summit in Washington DC in June 2024. We invite you to listen to what these young people share about their experience with the Council and their role as leaders in their community.
