My first West Virginia activation from US-6993 Bear Rock Lakes Wildlife Management Area while heading to Dayton Hamvention on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, was an absolute 40m frenzy, testing the Yaesu FT-891 to its absolute limits during a 20-minute non-stop pileup. Even with the intensity, I was able to recognize a callsign that would never get into my log. Watch to see how I and the gear handled the chaos!
