I realised something recently about why I feel inadequate so often, and it completely changed how I see myself.
What if the very thing we've been calling a problem is actually proof that we care deeply about who we're becoming?

After my video on feeling heavy, I realised something.
I never really feel like I’m enough.
And reading the comments it seems so many of us feel that way.
But Feeling like you're not enough doesn't mean you aren't.
I think it just means you care.
We've been taught that if we feel inadequate, something must be wrong with us.
That if we're sad, we need to fix it.
That if we're sensitive, we need to toughen up.
And it feels like those feelings are flaws.
But What if they're just proof that you care.
See, the people who feel like they're not enough are usually the ones holding themselves to impossible standards.
They're the ones who notice when they fall short.
Who replay conversations in their head.
Who worry they could've done more, been better, said the right thing.
People call that anxiety.
They call that overthinking.
They call it a problem.
I call it caring.
Because the truth is, people who don't care rarely feel like they're not enough.
They don't lose sleep over whether they hurt someone.
~ Pause ~
So maybe the issue isn't that you're broken.
Maybe the issue is that you've been told your sensitivity is a weakness when it's actually your strength.
Because being kind is such a beautiful thing.
But here's what I know:
You're not too much.
You're not too sensitive.
You're not failing because you feel things deeply.
You're just human in a world that's forgotten how to be kind.
if you've been walking around feeling like you're not enough, I need you to hear this
So if you’re like me, and you never feel enough.
Its ok. Because people like us care.
And that is never, ever a flaw.
Thank you
