Straight from the deck of the Orca comes Quintâs screen- and photo-matched Fenwick Deluxe 670 130 lb. fishing rod, complete with a production-used Penn Senator 16/0 reel, used during the unforgettable shark-hunting sequences in Jaws (1975).
The irregular criss-cross twine above the Hypalon grip aligns perfectly with the film. The Fenwick decal placement, intentional weathering, distressed hardware finish and even the orientation of the roller guide screw heads correspond exactly with production stills and the finished movie.Â
Dating to 1973-74 and aligning perfectly with the 1974 shoot, this rare 130 lb. class Fenwick - the largest the company produced - is the rod visible in every clear on-screen shot aboard the Orca.
