We posted a video about this vise handle being stiff… and the comments immediately said: "You’re adjusting it wrong.”
So back to this vise and loosened the center bolt. Still stiff. Then we removed the base bolts. Still stiff. Then we completely removed the slide…and somehow it was STILL stiff. At this point, this stopped being a simple adjustment and turned into a full teardown. So now we have to ask… should a vise need this much work just to make the handle feel right? Stay tuned for part 2 to see what the solution is for fixing this vise handle problem.
