If your quilt blocks don’t line up, this is almost always the reason: an inaccurate quarter-inch seam allowance.

Here’s a simple test to check it:
Sew three 1½" strips together. After pressing, the piece should measure exactly 3½ inches wide.
Too wide? Your seam is too small.
Too narrow? Your seam is too big.

Fix this once and your quilt pieces will fit together perfectly every time.
