Fandom can be a wonderful experience, but it's very easy to lose sight of the bigger picture, and assume the worst when something you love doesn't seem to be getting the treatment you think it deserves. Feelings get hurt, assumptions get made, and suddenly the thing that's supposed to bring us joy becomes a source of frustration and disappointment. For Green Lantern fans, the main source of this tends to be the absence of some of our favorite characters, which many readers perceive to be the disrespectful abandonment of both those characters and their fans. I decided to take a look at how often fan-favorite characters come and go from the spotlight, and put it in the larger context of Green Lantern history...let's talk about what I found.
