Jesus said, "I am the bread of life. Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died. This is the bread that comes down from heaven, so that one may eat of it and not die." Most Christians believe that Jesus was talking about LITERALLY eating the manna, and LITERALLY eating the bread that comes down from heaven. In other words, these people believe that Jesus WAS comparing two different things (manna and Himself/His Flesh/"the bread"), in the same situation (being literally eaten).
However, there are some people, like Leighton Flowers of @Soteriology101, @OnoDiamante, @MikeWinger, James White of @AominOrg, William Lane Craig of@ReasonableFaithOrg, Jeff Durbin of @ApologiaStudios, and other Protestants, who think that Jesus WAS NOT comparing two different things (manna and Himself/His Flesh/"the bread"), in the same situation (being literally eaten). Instead, due to their man-made and unbiblical beliefs, they believe that Jesus was talking about two different things (manna and Himself/His Flesh/"the bread") in two different situations (being literally eaten and being figuratively eaten... whatever the heck that means to them... it varies, depending on which Protestant you ask).
Will any of those Protestants explain their interpretation of John 6:49-50? 🤔
