Over the last month, I’ve been on the hunt — and the vintage Reds collection keeps getting stronger.
In this video, I’m showing off some of my favorite baseball card pickups from the past several weeks, including several incredible vintage additions that I’m really excited about.
Highlights include:
🔥 A 1962 Post Cereal (Canadian) Vada Pinson — a tough regional issue that doesn’t pop up every day.
🔥 A 1961 Kahn’s rookie card of Jim Maloney — a classic early-career piece of one of the Reds’ most electric arms.
🔥 A 1937–39 Orcajo postcard of Ernie Lombardi — an unbelievable pre-war item featuring one of Cincinnati’s all-time greats.
🔥 And my favorite pickup of the month… a 1971 Pete Rose & Johnny Bench car dealership advertisement postcard, featuring a 1971 Mercury Montego. On the back? An incredible vintage ad with Rose and Bench promoting their dealership partnership. A true piece of Reds history beyond the diamond.
I also received an awesome surprise gift from one of my favorite YouTube subscribers, Dan @danielbernier6095 . He sent along some really cool Reds items — including a neat oversized 1980 Topps George Foster card that’s a fantastic addition to the collection. Huge thank you to Dan for the generosity and support of the channel!
And to kick things off, I had a little fun with the intro — featuring a clip inspired by the movie They Live starring Rowdy Roddy Piper. If you know… you know.
This one has everything — pre-war, oddball, regional issues, Hall of Fame legends, subscriber generosity, and some seriously cool Cincinnati baseball history.
