What do a rabid crow girly and a 17th century philosopher have in common? A commonplace book.
If you’re unfamiliar with the term commonplace book, we’ll be diving more into what they are, and why, if you watch my channel, you’ll probably want to keep one yourself but as a brief overview:
Commonplace books are essentially a curated encyclopedia of your own interests. They’re a space for you to collect little snippets of curiosity. Things you learn, quotes you love - really just whatever captures your interest.
And, as a thinking, feeling, writing girly… you’d think they’d be right up my alley. That’s certainly what I thought after coming across a few Youtube videos on them a year back.
Unfortunately, as is often the case, I was wrong. I tried commonplacing a year ago and proved that theory solidly false, I think I used it twice. And yet - here we are. In a video to conclusively prove whether I live and learn, or live and am doomed to constantly repeat my own mistakes. Because this year, I’m trying commonplacing again!
