Okay, CoD ghosts has taken it too far. I've had multiple experiences in which I press this fucking button over a thousand times before I can even call in the killstreak. Most of the time my guy presses it and the killstreak doesn't even come out. What was wrong with flipping the switch in Modern Warfare 2? Black Ops had it down, you could call anything in without doing some stupid long animation. Even if Black Ops animation repeated itself, it was fast as hell so it didn't even matter.
