Normally for modding a Wii U with Aroma CFW, an SD card is a requirement, but that;s changed!! Wafel installer is an exploit/Hb app allows you to do just that! It also let's you install ISFShax, partition HDD's, play games from SD, and more! This is brand new so it's the official method at this point but extremly useful for anyone with a broken SD slot on their console!
