Even if you're in beginning stages in your art path--such as starting to show your work to friends and family, it's time to put something out there. Why not? It's never been easier and cheaper to do it, and it gives you a chance to show people work in a way that belongs to you (rather than social media). Plus, you can write something about yourself and your work, which starts the relationship between your viewers and your art.
This portfolio/website/shop (whatever you want it to be) does not have to be the very best you've ever made, it's just a step in that direction!
If you already have a website, maybe this is a message to check it out and see if today's the day for a little refresh.
Here's a downloadable chart I made you if you're overwhelmed by all the platforms out there. These are some of the biggest names, complete with monthly fees, fees if selling work, and what they offer.
