According to the 2023 Charles Schwab Modern Wealth Survey, Americans say you need $2.2M to "be wealthy" in 2023.
The reality is that Americans who feel wealthy actually have a much lower actual net worth.
48% of Americans feel wealthy, and the average net worth of those that feel wealthy actually have an average net worth worth of $560,000.
We dig much deeper into monetary vs. non-monetary questions within this survey, and I think that puts a LOT of things into perspective.
I have ALWAYS taught that without time, health, family, or friends, one can never truly be wealthy.
This survey reinforces that point.
