But while we wait, we thought it was a good opportunity to look back at the 2025/26 release season and see the impact of our work on the ground that your support makes possible: 61 beavers in new homes across Britain!
Our restoration team have travelled the length of the nation, releasing beavers as far south as Cornwall, with Cornwall Wildlife Trust@CornwallWildlifeFilm as far north as Glen Affric with Trees for Life @Dundreggan and another 18 sites in between!
We’re currently in the Kit Dependency Period, which runs through spring and summer and is when beaver kits are very young and reliant on their parents for survival. During this sensitive time, we do not trap or translocate beavers to minimise disruption.
If you’re lucky enough to have beavers locally, you can keep an eye out for lactating females taking a break from feeding her kits, or spot the kits themselves later this summer when they emerge from the lodge. Please be responsible and follow the Beaver Code while watching beavers, found on our website.
