This pair of tinted prescription glasses was owned and worn by Lennon during his famous “Lost Weekend” period from 1973 to 1974. Round Windsor-style glasses became his trademark from 1967 onwards, first seen on the set of How I Won the War, and he would continue wearing the style for the rest of his life.

With unforgettable provenance, this exact pair was worn on stage, in photo shoots, and even featured on the cover of Lennon’s 1973 single Mind Games. They were infamously lost during a chaotic night at the Troubadour Club in Los Angeles with Harry Nilsson - a scuffle that saw Lennon lose these very glasses.

Marking what would have been Lennon’s 85th birthday this year, these glasses are one of the most significant pieces of Lennon and Beatles memorabilia ever to reach auction and a highlight collectible from an artist whose influence shaped generations.
