For the fourth consecutive time, the European Press Prize is announcing its Shortlist as an official part of the International Journalism Festival. This year, ahead of the 2026 Shortlist announcement, we are doing something different: we are putting our esteemed judges front and centre. As members of the two most important judging bodies of the European Press Prize, and as people whose perspectives carry real weight in conversations about journalism, this panel offers timely reflections and new ideas about the state of the profession and where it's headed. Moderated by Jennifer Athanasiou-Prins. Organised in association with the European Press Prize.
Con: Jennifer Athanasiou-Prins (executive director European Press Prize), Clara Jimenez Cruz (co-founder and CEO Maldita), Cristian Lupsa (media consultant), Veronika Munk (director of innovation and new markets Dennik N), Paul Radu (co-founder OCCRP)
