Last week, I went fishing with a guide (who was fantastic despite what @tonykalka may say), and I completely spaced out just as I got a good bite. I could tell that the guide was a little frustrated, but he remained really calm. And he said something that I thought was really smart: he said something like “You get to choose your own adventure. You get to make of this thing what you want.” If you’re hiring a lawyer, accountant, financial advisor, or any professional service provider, you get to choose how much you’re going to engage in the service. And that engagement can make a huge difference in the outcome. #law #life
