Video DescriptionDiscover the incredible depth of the constellation Cygnus in this high-resolution deep sky astrophotography image. At approximately 188 megapixels, this wide-field view demonstrates that you do not need a telescope to capture stunning details in the night sky.The image was captured using a mid-focal length 85mm portrait lens, which is an excellent choice for revealing the massive clouds of interstellar gas weaving through the Milky Way. To isolate and enhance the faint hydrogen light, a specialized astrophotography camera and a dedicated hydrogen filter were used. This highly active region of the sky is packed with deep sky objects. As you explore the image, you can spot the Crescent Nebula, the Tulip Nebula, and the Butterfly Nebula. The area around Cygnus is a rich cosmic landscape filled with active star-forming regions, planetary nebulae, supernova remnants, and glowing hydrogen regions.
