Okay. Got some bad news for most of you before I begin the description of this BMV (Barney Music Video). Well the bad news is a longtime theatre, film and television producer Craig Zadan has passed away last night. His works include the film adaptations of Chicago (2002), Hairspray (the 2007 musical film) and helped bring NBC Live musical telecasts with The Sound of Music Live! (2013), Peter Pan Live! (2014), The Wiz Live! (2015), Hairpsray Live! (2016) and the recent Jesus Christ Superstar Live! in Concert (2018). So this here is not only for fun, but to also pay tribute to Craig Zadan.
Now I'm sure you noticed that I put my Little Einsteins (featuring Kermit and Miss Piggy) slideshow video with Hairspray's "You Can't Stop The Beat" from the 2007 film version of Hairspray as private video. Well let me explain, I've been holding onto that video for years and haven't thought of deleting it yet. Plus I think it's time for me to start a new Barney Music Video and I strangely had "You Can't Stop the Beat" in my mind.
You'll notice that none of the Barney characters play any of the roles in the Hairspray film. That's because I didn't want to do it like that. So instead you'll see this BMV with Barney and his fellow friends singing and dancing. Enjoy.
