PlayStation 3 is my favorite console, and there's nothing more fun than firing up a bunch of launch games with your buddy and reviewing them. A lot of these still hold up to this day! Others are pretty awful. But ya know, it's still PS3. So it's always a good time.

This week we had a very surprising fact come out regarding Cory Barlogs next game at Sant Monica Studio. What we thought was a new IP, actually isnt! But its going to feel like one? Thats a little weird. We also have a lot of Ghost of Yotei news coming out this week from Sucker Punch, and they even provided a small comment on revisiting inFamous! Elsewhere through the week we have the final PS Stars collectible, a new PS5 update, the 30th Anniversary restock, and some physical video game news. You know I love my physical video games. But you know I dislike when theyre not on there. Its a vicious cycle my friends. And were allllll stuck here.

It was only a matter of time but Sony has increased the price of PS5 consoles here in the US. And right off that news, we see that Bungies controversial CEO is stepping down. Definitely some big changes going on within the PlayStation business! We also have a lot of game announcements from Gamescom Opening Night Live 2025 to go over as well. Bubsy 4D anyone? How about a Triangle Strategy shadow drop? Or LEGO Batman? A new Black Myth game! Theres a ton of things to discuss. Especially Ghost of Yōteis confirmed Legends mode. Plus, we have a rumor about a PlayStation State of Play / Showcase for next month. Not at all surprising, but still good to hear. Im also hearing sweet nothings. I love when those are whispered in my ear. Hehehehe.

Its been another expensive week for PlayStation as Sony has increased the price of PS Plus Essential, Extra, and Premium. And were hearing there wont be any PS5 console discounts for Days of Play 2026? Yesh. Well at least we have a new State of Play confirmed for June 2nd! And it sounds like a big one with Marvels Wolverine and probably that God of War Faye game? This week we also had a major PSN issue highlighted and thats social engineering. Its been a security flaw for years, and now Colin Moriarty was a victim to it. Elsewhere in the week we have Bungie walking away from Destiny 2 with no Destiny 3 in sight and layoffs incoming, then Fairgame$ getting rebranded, and inFamous Remakes rumored?! Okay yeah this was a busy week. And please excuse my red eye. I dunno what happened, but I need to go lie down.

This week we learned Sony might have to pay out $7.8 million dollars to class action lawsuit members. Oh no! How will the company survive that? Alright well theres also the UK lawsuit ending soon. That one is a bit more costly. But elsewhere this week we have some surveys about how often people pay full price for games, and if game exclusivity matters (turns out it does). Plus the Take-Two CEO confirms they have a marketing deal with PlayStation! And he discussed Bioshock. Sigh. I wish we got a new Bioshock.
