As the animatic begins you start off after Bakugo has been rescued and kageka is now in custody being Interrogated by her father and the detective tsukauchi Naomasa as she talks about the consequences of being part of her deceased grandfathers mafia now being control by her mother Sasha and that it's not easy to just move on that easily once getting out from the mafia
Scene now changes back to when kageka grandfather was still alive showing the new character known as kuroi Okada along with Sasha(cousin) and his uncle (Sasha dad). Kuroi controls the merchandise and their business in America with explains why he is not shown much in kageka backstory.
"They've been making you feel like you never did belong" this just shows how kageka mom and uncle looked down and her and mistreated her letting her know she would never be good enough.
Other scene changes as you meet yūto and Yui both cousins and old junior classmates of kageka... Due to her not being much needed In her mafia she tried searching where she could be feel welcomed and needed that's where she find the cousins. Kageka never participated in bullying the other kids with them she just stood their and watched. As another character comes to view, that character and kageka tend to meet again in the future.
Now at sport festival she decides to fully participate in them to prove to her mother that she is capable of defeating her opponents with no problem but due to her overusing her quirk it make her grow  weaker leading to loosing the match against Bakugo
Once again the scene changes now at the villains Hideout kageka is now feeling guilt for what shes done breaking everyone's trust and love from her dear classmates something she's been trying to find for so long something she never felt while growing up.
After her mother lecturing she is now deciding wether to stay and see how much longer she can stand this abuse or return back with Bakugo and be locked up for her crimes never to be trusted again like how her mother has said before

Now the whole song at the end explains all the rest 😌👌
