In 1 Samuel 16, David wasn’t even considered.

The real battle isn’t your ability — it’s the lies you’ve accepted.
Lies that say you’re disqualified.
Lies that say you don’t belong.
Lies that say “stay in the background.”
But when your name is called, don’t shrink.
Don’t hesitate.
Don’t disqualify yourself.

Power is in being present when God calls you.
