Rabbi Shmuley Boteach found himself in the middle of a firestorm this week after confronting an Icelandic couple who interrupted his vacation on the volcanic island. Shmuley says Samuel Gudmundsson posed as a fan seeking a selfie before surprising him with a political message - 'f*** Israel.'
The rabbi posted a video of himself following Gudmundsson and his girlfriend through the streets of Reykjavík, accusing them of antisemitism and vowing to press charges. However, Shmuley’s vigilante gambit has largely backfired in the court of public opinion.
