"Yoshi.exe" is a horror, creepypasta game made by a user named Skashi, based on "Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island" & released for PCs on April 26, 2014. Then, a remastered version of it was made by a user named Cloudyfied, who posted it on Game Jolt on September 2, 2022. Both of these games are a horror version of the 1995 platform-game developed and published by Nintendo for SNES, called: "Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island". The story begins with Yoshis who go in an adventure to rescue a baby that's been lost by the stork after it accidentally dropped the white bag with the baby in it into the deep blue ocean. They plan to do this by following the crying of the baby that can be heard all over the island, but little did they know that this will be their last worst mistake they'll ever commit. The first one to go is our beloved Yoshi. At first, everything looks normal, except there aren't any enemies, as if the island has been abandoned. While walking, you'll eventually find yourself in a river & at the end of it, there's a cave that's blocked by a wall tho & in order for you to unlock it, you'll need a key. Once you find the key & free your way into the cave, while entering it, you'll start hearing Baby Mario's cries growing in intensity while going deeper & deeper into the cave. After this, Yoshi will find himself in a dark area of the Island, where while going on his path, he'll encounter dead Koopas, Lunge Fishes, covered in blood & with black eyes. Later on, he'll also encounter many creepy Poochies that has red-glowing eyes & a wide smile on their face. After this, Yoshi will end up in a castle, that's also very dark in, seems to be abandoned & the only thing you can hear in the background is Baby's Mario growing in intensity. Later on, you'll find blood on the floor & the word "HELP" written on the walls with it. There are also a few pits filled with red water. At the end of the castle, you'll finally find Baby Mario, but something's odd. He has black eyes & red iris. When you approach him, he'll jumpscare you & kill Yoshi. His face is also covered in blood. After this happens, the game-over screen will pop-up. You can either choose to continue or give up. If you choose to continue, the game will reset. The title-screen is different this time. The sky is black, the colors of the island are darker, the logo is waving and it's painted in three colors: red, orange & green. The music is pretty disturbing too. Everything is the same, except this time you're playing with another Yoshi. When you end up in that castle again, you'll find Yoshi dead, hanging from the ceiling with his tongue. He looks beat up to a pulp, he's covered all in blood & also has black eyes. When you leave him, he'll later come from behind & jumpscare you & kills this Yoshi too. After another reset, the title-screen is all messed up now, it's very blurry & it's red-tinted. The same thing happens again, but with another Yoshi. But, this time, when Yoshi is walking down on the dark side on the Island, he'll stumble across another Yoshi's cut head on the ground, then the game suddenly goes black & the message pops-up: Each reset, each playthrough, it's the exact same cycle over and over.
