In this video we make a breathtaking 4K journey through the southern heart of Yosemite National Park.

Our scenic drive begins at the world-famous Tunnel View, where we’ll take in the iconic panorama of El Capitan, Half Dome, and Bridalveil Fall. From there, we leave the valley floor behind and climb south along Wawona Road. The landscape quickly transitions from grand granite vistas into the deep, lush shadows of the Giant Forest. Experience the peace of the Southern Gateway as we wind through ancient groves and towering pines, showcasing a side of Yosemite that many visitors overlook.

This drive was filmed in late September.

We begin the video where the road starts to climb at the switchbacks, heading towards the Continental Divide at Logan Pass. The road winds through dramatic alpine scenery, offering breathtaking views of glacial-carved peaks and crystal-clear lakes and we enjoy beautiful fall colors along the way. As we continue east, we descend into the serene St. Mary Valley with the vast, open vistas of St. Mary Lake. After reaching the east end of the road, we jump over to the western side of the park and drive along the serene shores of Lake McDonald and McDonald Creek. We finish our journey back where the video started. This video captures not only the natural beauty but also the engineering marvel of this historic route, providing a comprehensive visual tour of one of Americas most picturesque drives.
