St Everilda's at Poppleton was founded about 1400 yerars ago in Anglo Saxon times. The evidence is still there in and under the ground. It also gets ringside views of the East Coast Main Line up to Edinburgh. The about 2 mile stretch of green space on the other side of the river is where York stores
its flood water a couple of times a year. Keep going and you get to Bootham Park, and to the Minster.
