I’m here to tell you about a new hotel booking company that I think is pretty neat. The company is called Yonderbound. It is similar to a trip advisor, booking.com, expedia, Hotwire and all those type companies……BUT with a few differences that are worth hearing. Yonderbound is the first travel knowledge monetization platform in the world.

What exactly does that mean??? well…Yonderbound thinks you, the traveler should be rewarded for leaving comments, tips and reviews to help other travelers plan their trips. After all word of mouth is the most effective form of marketing. Yonderbound has this unique system where members create “Yonderboxes”.

A Yonderbox, is kind of like a personal scrapbook where you can collect all your ideas for a trip. You can shortlist hotels, make notes, and then share your Yonderbox with friends and family. You can also make any Yonderbox public if you like - that way the whole Yonderbound community can see it. The more we share experiences and ideas, the better travel is for all of us! If someone books a hotel based off your Yonderbox suggestion you will receive “Yonder Credits” in your account that can be redeemed towards any booking made on Yonderbound.com. There are no exceptions and no blackout dates. You can either use them to pay less for any trip or wait until you have enough and get a free trip!

Millions of people share their travel knowledge on popular review sites for free, Yonderbound wants to give you up to 70% of the net revenue you produce from your Yonderboxes. On average you will receive $7 for every $100 of booked travel. So stop giving your travel advice for free.

You don’t have to promote your Yonderbox if you don’t want to, but if you do, you will raise your likelihood of gaining Yondercredits. Currently you can share a Yonderbox automatically via email or on your Facebook page and in the future Yonderbound plans to be able to share automatically on other social networks. Members can also find your Yonderbox by searching for tips on the Yonderbound website.

So please checkout Yonderbound. You can help fund your travels and you can also help travelers like me keep on traveling just by sharing great advice at no cost to you. Their prices, which include all taxes and fees from the moment you see them, are virtually the same, and in some cases even cheaper than the other hotel booking companies …the same booking sites that don’t want to give you any reward for your advice or reviews.
