Yon Fernández-de-Larrinoa is Head of the Indigenous Peoples Unit at the FAO. An agricultural economist from UAM Madrid with a MABD in entitlements and food security, he has led major initiatives on indigenous food systems and coordinated emergency relief operations globally. He designed the FAO Manual on Free, Prior and Informed Consent and co-founded the FAO Pastoralists Knowledge Hub.
