When I was young, I was taught about when Christ said "Take my yoke upon you" I was shown an image like this and it was explained to me that this was a yoke. I was told that a yoke was used to harness two animals together. All of that is true in fact in the guide to the scriptures it says... A device put around the necks of animals or men to harness them together. The yoke of Christ is a symbol for discipleship, whereas the yoke of bondage is a symbol for oppression.
