Dudley of Yesterzine | Yesterzine 13 - "Using 'Arse' as the Punchline" - The One Amiga Issue 83 @Yesterzine | Uploaded March 2020 | Updated October 2024, 9 hours ago.
Yesterzine is the literal magazine show where we play the highest and lowest rated games from an old magazine to see how they stand up today and look at what that magazine teaches us about pre-internet video gaming.
This week, The One Amiga Magazine Issue 83.
In late 1995, EMAP decided to stop publishing The One but that wasn't the end of its story. Although they probably wished it was as it was sold to Maverick Magazines, the vampire publisher.
Still in this issue there were games, the gaming heaven is the Amiga's definitive answer to Doom but is the answer "No, we can't do Doom" and the gaming hell is a multiplayer extreme sports game, what could go wrong?
Music : Retro Video Game 12th Warrior
Composer, all tracks: Bjorn Lynne (PRS)
Publisher, all tracks: Lynne Publishing (PRS)
Licenced by Shockwave Sound
Bonus Fact for Scrolling : Maverick ruined several other magazines too, but for some reason had a fondness for Sega titles. Despite having their own Mega-Tech they also bought Mega and Sega Zone and turned them into 16 page toilet paper monstrosities as well.
