Today we are reviewing a new Ginault Expeditioner, that takes their Ocean Rover to a more luxurious style by changing the bezel from black aluminum or ceramic to a platinum colored ceramic, clearly being inspired by Rolex Yachtmaster, despite them saying it is NOT a Yahtmaster homage.
What hasn't changed and what I almost forgot, is just how well Ginault watches are made. This thing is the cloesest thing you can get to having a watch that feels and operates exatly like a modern Rolex.
By that I mean the finish quality of the brushing, the silkiness of the bracelet, the operation of the crown, bezel, even clasp, everything feels exatly the same as my Rolex Submariner, and it shows why Ginault is in suhc high demand. The bracelet is simply incredible and tolerances between braelet and case as well as links themselves is on the same level as those on my Submariner, while the AR coating on the crystal is something you simply HAVE to see in person to appreciate. It puts Rolex to shame when put side by side, making a crystal clear view in situations when my AR coated Submariner looks hazy.
This incredible dedication to quality and quality control is continued on the movement, that is regulated and tested over a perioid of six weeks, and every watch is delivered with timing sheet of those tests, something I never saw in any microbrand.
When you handle one of these for the first time you are blown away, and then you realize why a mirobrand that started as making homages costs as much as it does, they simply reahed a level of quality unmatched at this price point by anone, and I can say with pretty high certainty that it even matches quality of watches they are inspired by!!!
