What is a spiritual awakening, really?
This Tuesday Night Live breaks it down without the fluff, the savior narratives, or the love-and-light shortcuts.
A spiritual awakening is an expansion of awareness. It changes how you see yourself, your life, your priorities, and reality itself. Sometimes that expansion is smooth. Sometimes it’s disorienting, isolating, or destabilizing. That’s where confusion, spiritual ego, bypassing, and even psychosis can enter the picture.
In this episode, I explain spiritual awakening in grounded terms and then go deeper into spiritual bypassing: when spirituality becomes a way to avoid emotions, responsibility, or the human experience itself. We talk about “high vibe vs low vibe” thinking, toxic positivity, emotional hierarchy, spiritual perfectionism, and outsourcing authority to channeling, starseeds, ascended masters, or “higher beings.”
Unconditional love comes up a lot here, and I challenge the popular definition. Unconditional love is not constant bliss, no judgment, or emotional neutrality. It’s loving yourself without conditions even when you’re triggered, angry, grieving, messy, judgmental, or lost. Integration, not transcendence, is where real healing happens.
We also cover the fine line between intuition and spiritual psychosis, why discernment matters, and how consuming too much spiritual information without grounding or personal work can destabilize the nervous system.
This conversation is also placed in an astrological context. Neptune in Pisces has amplified spiritual escapism, illusion, savior complexes, and “it’s not here yet” consciousness. As Neptune goes direct at 29° Pisces and prepares to move into Aries, we’re entering a cycle of spiritual individualism: embodied truth, self-trust, action, and accountability. Less outsourcing. More ownership.
