goats were making it hard to grow trees here 🐐
but with our partners @hommesetterre1902 , we protected the young trees and they were able to grow 💚
so… why goats?
because here, it’s getting drier. when crops fail, families rely on goats to survive. they’re food and income, but they also eat every young tree.
restoring the trees brings those resources back (water, medicinal plants, healthier soil) so people aren’t forced to depend only on livestock 🌱
