In 2021, Yellowstone's creator revealed a multi-project contract with Paramount that includes two (yes, TWO) Yellowstone spinoffs, as well as related Western-themed, shows. Sheridan has recently purchased the legendary Four Sixes Property in Texas as part of the real estate group—a ranch that also happens to be the subject of one of Sheridan's upcoming series.
Yellowstone is an American drama television series that premiered on the Paramount Network on June 20, 2018, and was created by Taylor Sheridan and John Linson. Kevin Costner, Wes Bentley, Kelly Reilly, Luke Grimes, Cole Hauser, and Gil Birmingham star in the series. The battle between a major cattle ranch, an Indian reservation, and land developers is chronicled in this series.
First announced back in February 2021, the new show, operating under the working title 6666, sounds poised to bring the same modern western-flavored drama as Yellowstone in an entirely new setting. There have been no casting announcements for the new program so far, although Yellowstone's fourth season gave some fans hope for a few old faces. Jimmy, a Yellowstone ranch hand, was assigned to the 6666 for the majority of the fourth season, introducing the new ranch and a few key individuals who could return in the spin-off. Jimmy and his new girlfriend Emily, in particular, look to be plausible candidates for appearances on the new program, but neither actor Jefferson White, who plays Jimmy, nor Kathryn Kelly, who plays Emily, have confirmed anything, leaving the possibility of their starring on 6666 simply theoretical.
