New Kanebo Allie Cheek UV is SO GOOD! Gothamista 2023-07-05 | Probably my fav discovery this Summer. This gives me extra protection exactly in the areas I need it. I use this ontop of a base layer of sunscreen and has a Color UV Veil technology that prevents it from mixing with your makeup or other layers underneath so that your protection is not affected in anyway or diluted causing patchy coverage. This provides even coverage as I can tell through my UV mirror (in the video demo for the UV mirror, I used the blush on it’s own without an existing base layer of sunscreen so the coverage would be clear). Also it’s resistant in all the ways I need it to be, blush colour lasts at least 8 hours although it’s not budged for over 10 hrs on me, sweat/sebum-resistant and friction resistant. The texture is lightweight and hydrating and it’s buildable. Btw there is one other Cheek UV not mentioned which is more of a highlighter - not my fav. I will be reviewing some of Allies latest sunscreen formulas soon. What I Eat For Well-Aging Skin Gothamista 2022-05-26 | I'm asked all the time about habits outside of my skincare routines that positively affect my skin so I want to start with how I eat. These are some personal preferences as well as restrictions due to food intolerances that may be blessings (I tell myself) in disguise. Topical skincare is only a small part of my more holistic approach to well ageing skin which starts with a healthful body and good habits. When my body is out of sorts, it affects my reactive skin. It all boils down to preventing and reducing inflammation in the body or excessive “heat” in TCM terms.By no means do I have perfect eating habits, I like to eat all the things. But I strive for balance over elimination, except for the things I have to avoid because of allergies and intolerance. Like for skincare, I like even my food to be multi-tasking. I strive to fill 2 needs with 1 deed as much as possible! So I'm sharing with you as simply as I can how I combine, alternate and layer my actives. Please take note that these are suggestions only that may or may not work for your skin. For beginners, always start conservatively. I tend to follow my "skintuition" so sometimes there will be variations to this sequence, and that's ok! Skincare shouldn't be legalistic! And remember, you don't need to use everything! However, they told me they’re having alot shipping delays due to Lunar New Year Holidays so be mindful of that if you're considering purchasing through my links.
