La Sirenita es una próxima película de fantasía musical estadounidense dirigida por Rob Marshall, a partir de un guion escrito por David Magee y Jane Goldman, y una historia de Magee, Marshall y John DeLuca. Coproducida por Walt Disney Pictures, Lucamar Productions, Marc Platt Productions y 5000 Broadway Productions, es una adaptación de acción real de la película animada de Disney, La Sirenita, que a su vez se basa libremente en el cuento de hadas de 1837 del mismo título, escrita por Hans Christian Andersen. Es producida por Marshall, DeLuca, Marc Platt y Lin-Manuel Miranda, quien coescribió nuevas canciones para el filme. Alan Menken regresará como compositor tanto de la partitura como de las canciones. La película está protagonizada por Halle Bailey como Ariel, junto a Jonah Hauer-King, Javier Bardem y Melissa McCarthy, con Daveed Diggs, Jacob Tremblay y Awkwafina en los roles de voz.
