There is increasing realization that much of Africa's food could be produced locally on the continent, creating jobs and opportunities for African youth. But to seize this potential, we must empower our youth in agriculture. That's why initiatives like the Yara Shujaaz Knowledge Exchange program are crucial!

Driven by Yara East Africa, the program targets farmers aged 18 to 35, facilitating knowledge exchange and benchmarking best practices for sustainable farming.

Meet Janet, Rogers, and Ronald, three young, Kenyan farmers who took part in a week-long exchange in Oslo. Throughout the program, they delved into various aspects of the food value chain, from production to distribution, and explored topics like regenerative agriculture and soil health.

Their journey took them from Yara's HQ, where they engaged with subject matter experts, to Yara Porsgrunn for firsthand insights, and a farm where they immersed themselves in the local community!
