That moment when the bubble gum becomes too big that it explodes... with loads of incredible and sugar-filled tunes. Thats what A State of Sugars newest compilation album is about, and it is out now! With no less than 47 tracks from many community musicians, its a real sugary treat. The second track were showcasing from the album is MEQAs Luna-themed beauty!
Intricate, powerful, and soothing like a night breeze, Lunar Republic pays tribute to the eponymous fan-imagined faction led by Luna that Im sure most of you heard of. Fittingly delivering the perfect mix of night and scheming vibes both pertaining to the New Lunar Republic and its context, the track is also full of quality sound design and enthralling bass, for a musical experience that is soft and heavy at the same time. I heard that the inspiration from this track happened especially after watching the Children Of The Night fan animation, and Im delighted as that animation and especially its intro is very emotional for me! MEQA definitely did amazing with this splendid piece full of depth and flavor. Grab it as part of A State of Sugars brand new compilation album of many wonders, Bubblegum! No matter how many times you will chew it, it will always taste just as sugary as the first time!

Holy woooow like seriously did you hear that whole album?? Im back from the live release party and Im SO blown away. So many incredible and emotional tracks... And I can only hope that it was/will be powerful to you too! I very highly recommend it!
Im happy that I could find a fitting artwork for this track, it actually wasnt easy. And here I thought there would be more artworks in the community about the New Lunar Republic! It is a thing, but apparently it didnt spawn that many drawings (still lots of wallpapers though). I added a subtle fog, since it fits to the mood and to the scene at night. Also about the intro... now I know how to manually make a grid in After Effects! Well... it was tricky so Im not sure if that was actually the right way to do it lol. But oh well, what matters is the end result, and hopefully it looks good to you!

Lunar New Year: Trash3D is an impressive mix of influences and genres. Each of the artists contributed to this experience of sound and pony noises with love, and the whole album is a feast of wonders for the ears. May it be one of Agents of Discords punchy Breakbeat tunes (including Calm at Night that is very reminiscent of Under Cover Of Night from the OST of Halo!), Cynifrees musical trip into the dark titled Obscurity, Crashie Tunezs contributions in both new styles and his signature style, Kakofonous most creative and unique experimental creations, this high-speed Gabber track by Enuna giving a hilarious new spin on Nightmare Moons speech, or one of the many other surprises in the album... Theres many unexpected and unconventional sides of music to explore and I hope that you enjoy the journey as much as I did. Kudos to Kako and all noise.horse staff as well as all the contributing musicians for creating this, keep it up!!

There is a concept called hidden piece in a novel based on virtual reality game. A powerful weapon, or equipment, that developers can change the games landscape. In the distant future, technology has evolved so that every pony lives in virtual reality. When another danger came to the Equestria, the element of harmony that everyone had forgotten was discovered by the future Mane6 as a hidden piece.

Experience the concept continued from Nevermourns Nighttime Aria, with this sequel of much emotion! It is intended to embody the sweet dreams that ponies are having under Lunas beautiful night sky. Available as part of A State of Sugars compilation album Candy!
Sweet Dreams exhibits a deep and powerful bass as well as divine melodies on strings over a Liquid Drum & Bass format, creating a special kind of magic that some souls will be able to feel as untold emotion. This song certainly creates that emotion for me, and I can only hope that more of you will feel similar powerful and positive emotions while listening to this gorgeous and incredible piece. It has also a concept that is a continuation of the concept of the prequel/sister track Nighttime Aria. Here it is explained by Nevermourn:
Originally Nighttime Aria was supposed to be a ballad from one of Lunas thestral guards to Luna herself. I couldnt get the lyrics down to make it that way, so instead I wrote it as song from Luna to the sleeping ponies of Equestria. Sweet Dreams is the response the ponies have to Lunas song. The song is supposed to embody the nice dreams that all the ponies are having while she keeps watch over the night and sings her song.
Seeing as how the Night and its many wonders is a special and emotional thing to fellow Children of the Night, it may be no coincidence that this song is so emotional. The feeling of gratitude from the ponies toward Luna, and the blissful comfort of their sweet dreams... I think it successfully got imbued in this track, which makes it not only an all-time masterpiece but also a wonderful piece of timeless magic.

With such a concept as this songs, I had to give it an extra focus in the intro! I hope that by seeing that story that Nevermourn gave to his song, more people could enjoy and appreciate that extra layer of emotion, like I do.
Also I had to pay tribute to this song as much as I could, so I went kinda heavy on effects again. Twinkling stars in the night sky, shooting stars appearing every now and then... and some glow among the ponies in the clouds, to try and reflect the emotion that surfaces along the music. I dont know if I succeeded... But I hope that all that made the experience more enjoyable for you!

When we see the tears of that dragon upon Fluttershys vocal assault on him in the early episode Dragonshy, its hard not to feel sympathy for him! Tripon followed up on that memorable scene with a wicked dark gem that displays Fluttershy in a way were not used to see her...
No matter if its with a fanfic-scale story or an interesting concept, Tripons tracks always tend to have those awesome pony themes to them, and the idea behind this one certainly fits to the dark vibes from the music! Responding to Fluttershy being -mean- assertive in S01E07 Dragonshy, Tripon crafted this crazy experience using all of his incredible skill at dark DnB, to show just the extent of the mares wrath in musical format. The track definitely is a tasty experience full of flavor, and the Neuro vibes in the second half are especially insane to me and make me go nuts when I listen to it! Thats the power of music, it can express things that we cant even describe with words! Tripon did absolutely amazing and this concept masterpiece is such a delight to have on the stellar compilation album that is Ponies at Dawn Skyward!

Its time for new compilation albums again! The newest entry in Equinitys series, named Breach, has many amazing pony songs for you to discover! Emotion is there as well, as illustrated by this new version of TCBs Atelophobia originally part of the Cutie Cuts EP focusing on each of the CMCs fears and anxieties!
TCBs music always tends to be so emotional with a unique atmosphere, use of pony vocal chops, and a magic that cant be explained with words, and Im so glad that the maestro contributed to the new Equinity compilation album with such an emotional piece, paying tribute to Sweetie Belles character depth all over again. A delicate, glitchy, intense soundscape is greeting us from the start, and soon we get immersed in TCBs magic. The Sweetie Belle vocal samples from S04E19 For Whom the Sweetie Belle Toils are creating much emotion while calling back to the epic episode, and vocal chops are further extending that emotion in melodic ways. The creative progression is so unique and we can hear how the piece is meant to depict some inner fears. The violin appearing midway is just so emotional and that was an amazing vision to build on the existing soundscape. Sharp and slashing synths are cutting through the maze of the mind with stunning precision, and the soft outro is such a perfect finale to close the emotional journey weve just been in. Overall such an emotional piece, that made me tear up the first time I listened to it. TCB has a way with emotion in his music that never misses... And this is indubitably one of my favorite tracks from the album.
Equinity 03: Breach will be released on August 3rd, details to be announced! Follow Equinity on Twitter or the official Discord server to get updates! Ive already heard some tracks from the album as part of deciding Cider Party features and let me tell you that the albums concept was executed so brilliantly by the mega collab and opener track BREACH that is such a progressive and pony concept-powered beauty, and then youve got some more amazing pony concept-powered tracks such as Lord Of Chaos and Power Ponies, that I strongly recommend once the album is out! And the rest of what I heard was amazing too, and Im so happy that everypony contributed with these tracks. Look forward to hearing the full thing! One more track from the album will be featured at the party once the album dropped!

This one makes great and nostalgic use of Pinkie vocals from the classic Laughter Song, and treats us with a very interesting instrumental of much flavor!
More commonly known as Giggle at the Ghostly, the Laughter Song from the S1 premiere not only set the ground of Pinkies Element but also made for a song of choice to sample from ever since the early days. Using such a magnificent part of our past and history, One Track Mind crafted this nostalgic yet very fresh tune, reawakening Pinkies vocals in an insane way and synthesizing them in a mad instrumental of many wubby thrills, as if it was all part of some dark ritual in the depths of the Everfree Forest...

Its time to celebrate the masterpieces of our community once again, via a new retrospective compilation album from Ponies at Dawn aiming to showcase many gems released in the meantime, for charity! And it has some brand new tunes as well! Among the starry pieces to listen to while reminiscing about the awesome times had, John Kenzas remix of loophoofs classic is definitely to be savored over and over again!
This is kind of a special feature, as this remix is actually part of 2 albums! It was first released for the occasion of this years charity album from Ponyville Ciderfest, gathering many of the performing musicians to contribute to the album with both new and old treats! This remix was part of it, and in the same fashion, loophoof remixed John Kenzas track Love for the same album! That was so perfect and lovely, considering the musicians played a back-to-back live mix at the con! Now, a new charity album from Ponies at Dawn is peaking at the horizon like a rising sun, as per the now-traditional yearly event! And they saw fit to include this beauty of a remix and that was definitely a great idea to showcase the signature uplifting and bright atmospheres crafted by John! This tribute to loophoofs masterpiece features the original vocal chops and Dash samples anew, as it takes you on a new journey in the gorgeous sound and soothing synths all around, wrapping you in their warm embrace. Short yet perfectly achieving what it aimed to do, this remix is a shining star among many in these two fine compilation albums!

Faster than Oliver Biscuit could get people in the mood, FilledSilhoutte is dazzling us with this new album that just dropped, and that was teased for some time with releases of singles from it! The complete experience is now out of Bandcamp for your ears to appreciate. Nostalgia trips are to be planned, since the musician crafted such funky tunes getting you in the groove with those Disco rhythms, retro synths, and sampling of classics of old! If you download the album you will get a text file stating which songs were sampled for each track. Turning beloved retro songs into renewed funky bliss is the whole aim of French House and FilledSilhoutte absolutely nailed it! And the album is themed around our beloved antagonists the Dazzlings, and FilledSilhoutte made several very cool picture edits for the cover art of the singles releases and the album! I SO love that cool art edit by Tacos, who also did that awesome edit for the thumbnail with Adagios hand over the text! I was blown away when I saw it!! It all looks so great and truly dazzling! He also did the lighting effect in the video, and its so appreciated since were now doing justice to the Funk! Its like Adagio is on the stage at the Malibu club and theres a light show! Aaaah I so love the Dazzlings! I recommend checking out the DeviantArt gallery of RileyAV by the way, so many other awesome artworks of the Dazzlings! I went through it earlier today and saved 39 of them! Also, this is the third unique writeup that I did for FilledSilhouttes album (I posted it on EQD and Horse Music Herald before), and I tried including different references every time! I had fun with them and this came at just the right time since the other day I was relistening to Funk/Disco classics from the 80s again haha. I have moments like that. Theres so much to appreciate in the music of the past! But also in the music of the present, and in the music of the future! /)")

Nightmare Night is upon us!! Magnus Records delivers this year once more with a new installment in the Trick NO Treat compilation album series! One of the brand new fire tracks off the album, Nightfall samples the Japanese Nightmare Moon and blasts hard-hitting wubs, showcasing Einarxs talent once again.
Its always so wonderful to see musicians adding their own style and distinctive ideas to their tracks, and we can definitely feel Einarxs liking for the Contemporary Japanese Visual Culture in this one! Not just from the bright and anime-like vibes we get from the intro, but also from the creative use of the Japanese dub of MLP! Yes, what you hear in the track is Nightmare Moon in the official Japanese dub of MLP! Its very refreshing and was definitely an awesome and very creative idea. Not to mention it complements the softer, rounder tones of the instrumental so well, to make for a more anime-styled track! Of course, Einarxs signature hard-hitting style is still present in this mad Dubstep banger, and the drops are just as crazy and delightful as youd expect. Theres a certain sound happening in the drops in particular thats making me go nuts, its so addictive! And its all for Magnus Records new Halloween-themed album, Trick NO Treat: Phase 3! The art edit was done by Tacos! And its quite an impressive one!
I designed it so the colors and the blacks of the picture were different layers. I smeared the black and mirrored it identically, but used a splatter texture to sort of reveal the colors on each picture separately, so it almost looks like splashes of color.
Thats definitely very cool!
